Spay Illinois Pet Well Clinics, Inc is a non-profit organization on a mission to keep pets and families together. They believe that no pet should ever be denied quality preventative care due to the financial circumstances of their family. They started supporting their local community with free and low-cost spay and neuter in 2009 and have since provided over 25,000 pets and families with preventative veterinary care. Dogs Trust USA is supporting Spay Illinois with a second grant which provides 431 low-income residents of Kankakee (60910) and Momence (60904) with access to subsidised spay and neuter services. With targeted interventions such as this, we hope to tackle abandonment and that intake and euthanasia rates at the area's local shelters will decline over time.
