New York City, New York, June 1, 2023 – Dogs (and their humans) will run the city during Dogs Trust USA’s second annual Big ‘Y’Apple 5k on Saturday, October 28 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Tribeca on Pier 25. Runners, walkers, and their canine friends can register now for $30 at bit.ly/walkrunwagnyc.
Dogs Trust USA, an NYC-based dog welfare organization, will use proceeds from the event to help dogs in New York and across the U.S. to live happy and healthy lives. On-site registration and pre-registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Hudson River Park, West Street, New York, NY 10013. Fundraising is not required, and there are multiple sponsorship opportunities available.
“Dogs Trust USA has supported over 30,000 dogs and people nationally in just the last few years. With supporting funds from the Big ‘Y’Apple, we can free up even more shelter space and place dogs much faster in their forever homes by further training shelter staff how to manage challenging dog behaviors,” said Brett Llewellyn, Executive Vice President of Dogs Trust USA. “We look forward to building upon the success of last year’s inaugural run as the Big Y’Apple becomes a ‘must do’ event for dog owners in New York.”
