Founded by two veterinarians, Ruthless Kindness is an organization on a mission to address the epidemic of violence and preventable suffering of at-risk animals and people. One of the barriers individuals have to leaving their unsafe living environments is that they cannot get their pets vaccinated quickly enough to claim an available pet-friendly bed in a shelter.
Dogs Trust USA awarded a grant to Ruthless Kindness so they can organize 12 mobile clinic events offering free vaccines, microchips and vet care to hundreds of dogs belonging to domestic abuse victims so that they can move into safe accommodation together with their pets.
